Exertis (the principal trading name of DCC Technology) has announced the acquisition of Kerèn BV, a specialist, value-add, Pro AV distributor.
Based in Almere in the Netherlands, the company achieved revenues of €16 million in its last financial year and employs 12 people.
Kerèn B.V. sells to Pro AV system integrators and resellers, providing pre- and post-sales project support with solutions from key vendors that include Philips, LG, Casio, BenQ, Canon, Panasonic, AOPEN, Neets, WyreStorm, Bose and Legrand.
Gerry O’Keeffe, Exertis International managing director, said: “This is a strategic acquisition in the Netherlands of a respected Pro AV distributor that demonstrates our commitment to becoming the leading Pro AV/UC distributor, globally, both through key acquisitions and organic growth. We are building expertise and a compelling proposition that resonates with our vendors and our customers to take advantage of a growing market which requires a distributor that can provide a complete solution across AV, UC and networking.”
Marten van der Weerd, Kerèn BV CEO, added: “This is a great opportunity for the business and our employees to be part of a strong and growing company that is rapidly expanding its presence across the globe and its pedigree in the Pro Av and collaboration market. We are looking forward to working with our new colleagues at Exertis Go Connect and taking advantage of the benefits that scale can bring to an organisation.”
Exertis has also announced the acquisition of Bconnected Limited, a provider of Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
Based in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, the company reported revenues of €1.9m in its last financial year (ending Dec 2018).
EMM services include managed services, monitoring access, data segregation on all IT devices (and operating systems), combining end-users’ needs with IT security measures and relevant software licensing. MDM services include general IT support, device staging, 3rd party application support, wipe and trace services, VIP handholding and out of hours support. The business will become part of DCC technology’s white label services business, Macro Evolution Services Ltd. (MacroEv).
Rod McCarthy, managing director, Exertis Ireland and UK/I Services, said: “Bconnected is a respected and trusted partner for providing EMM and MDM services in Ireland. This acquisition will enable us to offer and develop a range of end-point management support services for resellers and vendors as well as a greater opportunity to expand these services into other geographies. The business, which will sit in our MacroEv business, has an experienced and highly technical specialist team who provide complex EMM and end-point management solutions, partnering with major global vendors including VMware, Samsung, MobileIron, Asavie, BlackBerry, Google, Netmotion, Microsoft and Apple amongst others.”
The experienced Bconnected management team of Richard McCabe, Glenn Staunton and Martin O’Toole will continue to lead the company reporting to McCarthy.
“We are highly excited to be part of the ever-expanding DCC technology family. This development provides a scalability which will transform Bconnected to become a global provider of unified endpoint management solutions and support services. We believe our services will complement and enable DCC Technology to provide new innovative services to their customer network,” said McCabe.
